ENCASH the LOCKDOWN

COVID-19- A blessing for FRESHERS

Congratulations !!

You are the LUCKIEST batch who is getting almost 3 moths extra to prepare for JEE-MAINS

Best part is YOU have NO WAYS to waste your time (exclude facebook 🤣🤣)

and hundreds of YOUTUBE videos by many GOOD faculties are available to help YOU.

So..... INVEST this CORONA lockdown in shaping your career by grabbing BEST rank in JEE.

HERE are few things YOU CAN DO....

I would recommend to follow the order..

Step : -1

Give at least 3 Full syllabus TEST , in REAL TIME situation ( Most of the good institutes are providing Online test series to there students so USE IT. In case you have NOT enrolled with any test series , You can use many free tests available on free sites. )

Step - 2

Do SWOT (Strength , Weakness, Opportunity, Threats) analysis of your performance in TESTS

Strength- Those topics from which you did MOST questions Right

Weakness- Topics from which you scored ZERO

Opportunity - Topics from which you answered right and quick

Threats - Topics from which you scored NEGATIVE marks

make a proper Table of topics marking them S,W,O,T (you can use colour code too)

Step -3

DEAL with THREATS first -

These are the topics about which YOU THINK , YOU KNOW

but scored NEGATIVE, means you had prepared these topics but, could not practice or your concept are NOT clear. Revise them from you class room NOTES only (don't make a fresh start with NEW content) , if you do not have NOTES than only see VIDEO LECTURES of some good faculty and make NOTES.

Step-4

BUILT on STRENGTH-
Devote at least on hour daily to revise the topics you are STRONG in. I will suggest to attempt

one DPP ( Click here to download free) of each subject based on TOPIC you are good at. Keep watch on time, analyse mistakes and strengthen week areas to the PERFECTION.

Step- 5

Reduce Weakness-

You did not attempted few questions , because you knew, you are not comfortable in them.

Usually it is not advisable to LEARN NEW THINGS , just before exams. But as I said

YOU ARE LUCKY , you have enough time to learn even new topics.

Just select least interconnected topic like complex number among your weak topics and start preparing them with help of video lectures and study material (ask me if you don't have).

DON'T BE GREEDY - remember you will not get any time to REVISE these topics, hence rather than rushing to complete more topics , FOCUS on comprehensive coverage of TOPIC.

Step-6

CHALLANGE YOURSELF
Give at least One full syllabus TEST every week, NOTE your score , do analysis, and change SWOT CHART if needed.

Don't expect miracle, just try to score 3-5 % higher than previous. More focus should be SPEED with ACCURACY.

Importance of good study material in IIT-JEE prepration

So.......you are preparing for one of the india's most tough competetive exam called IIT-JEE.

As you might be aware , for clearing JEE you need a very correct strategy.

you need....

1. Good IQ and more importantly Zeal to achieve success.

2, A mentor or an institute which has equal thrust for  success as much you have.
and last the most important one....

A well designed ,updated study material. Many times good students failed because of wrong material selection. Especially those students which have not joined big brands like RESONANCE, FIIT-JEE, AAKASHare misguided by low grade old material from their institutes,
because No teacher or institute will give a material which he himself can't solve. So usually they give old material of big institutes for which solutions are available .

Its not always institute, many times student or parents are over ambitious and they collect any crab they can and pile up in study room, and waste time and energy on material...which harms in two ways
1.They will never able to complete there syllabus...so forget about revision
2. Few topics will be very well prepared and most of the other will remain untouched...and this will become cause of depression just before exam.

Hence you must select material very carefully. A good material is one which is concise ,cover complete syllabus exhaustively and most importantly inline with latest examination pattern.

In leading institutes like RESONANCE , FIIT JEE we work constantly on latest material, a good analysis of previous year paper is done and than material is designed.

80% of students who are not preparing in KOTA or Delhi purchase old material from any friend or book shop , and think they are doing preparation with TOP BRANDS material...
but my dear JEE changes its pattern very rapidly...also problem selection for each class student is different...for example you are a student of class 11th and  got a Module of Complex number of TOP brand and start solving it without having knowledge about batch in which that material was distributed. Now complex number is taught in different batches in different way.....if i am teaching in 12th pass batch i will now work on powers of iota rather will invest my time in Application of complex number in co-ordinate geometry...accordingly material will have problems more conceptual and difficult for a 11th class kid, hence you will fail to solve the material and it will depress you or your faith on your teacher will shake.(Though you and your teacher both are o.k. with complex number)

lets take reverse situation, you are a 12th pass student and got a sheet which is designed for class 11th and you will find it has many problems on powers of iota and addition of complex number and you will find it very easy and think your complex number is well prepared (which may not be,as you have not faced problems of your standard)

Hence merely getting a sheet printed "XYZ institute...and Complex number " will not work for you, it will be just either waste your time or depress you.

Hence through this blog i am trying to solve this problem and will upload well designed and classified material.

Also DAILY PRACTICE PROBLEMS (DPP) plays a very important role in revision ....i will discuss it in next post ...
